CAREER
Sir (Dr) Leesi Gabriel Gborogbosi is the Founder and CEO of Gabriel Domale Consulting (a management consulting firm). He is responsible for all aspects of the firm’s strategy, business development, leadership, governance, competitiveness, teams, and operations across all the network of client offices. Sir (Dr) Leesi leads the firm in its mission to deliver the best value-based client results in the management consulting industry.
Over the course of about three decades working in a global oil and gas company (Shell, Nigeria) prior to founding Gabriel Domale Consulting, he has served in a variety of leadership and managerial roles, including as finance manager of a portfolio of complex gas capital projects. Before that, he was deputy business finance manager (oil/gas production); head, business controls, and SAP compliance monitoring; knowledge management advisor (finance consulting and contracting transformation); and deputy head, corporate budgeting. He was also a member of the corporate strategy, planning, budget, and reporting team.
Based in Nigeria, Sir (Dr) Leesi has a long and successful record of helping diverse functions to develop collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to execute strategy effectively. He has collaboratively led finance transformation and knowledge management sessions, quarterly projects performance reviews, investment appraisal, and business planning with a focus on capital efficiency, cost, and milestones deliveries for a portfolio of seven projects (circa $bln headline size) for a culturally diverse global audience. Deeply, he loves acquiring knowledge, teaching, coaching leaders and helping to solve diverse and most critical business problems.
In his early career days, he worked in the Rivers State Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning. He also worked in the University of Port Harcourt, Bursary Department.
EDUCATION
Sir (Dr) Leesi has a doctoral degree in strategy (and, also in business studies) from IE Business School, Madrid. He received MSc (Research Methodology in Management) from IE Business School, Madrid, and an MBA (Finance and Banking) from the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria. His first degree was in Accountancy from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Nigeria. He had his secondary education at Federal Government College, Jos, Nigeria. His doctoral dissertation focuses on strategy implementation, collaboration, the role of middle managers, and the dynamics of host communities.
PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS AND HONOURS
He leverages his professional experience as a Certified Management Consultant (CMC); Fellow, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria; and The Institute of Management Consultants. Also, he is Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply, London; Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered); and Strategic Management Society, Chicago, United States.
Sir (Dr) Leesi Gborogbosi was also a member of the Strategic Management Society “Special Committee on Diversity and Inclusion”, Chicago, USA, with the responsibility of providing the Strategic Management Society Board of Directors with a good audit of where the Strategic Management Society stands with respect to inclusiveness in its activities. He was also appointed Session Chair – (Leading change implementation processes) Strategic Management Society International conference (2015 – Denver, USA).
He has a keen interest in research and writing conference papers. His papers were nominated for the best conference paper prize awards of the Strategic Management Society conferences in 2017 (Houston) and in 2015 (Denver). He was invited to present one of his papers at the Academy of Management conference in Chicago 2018.

His expertise cuts across governance, risk, and compliance; costs reduction; finance; strategy; leadership; collaboration; resource management; budgeting and planning; project and financial risks management; managerial influence; knowledge management; due diligence’ contracting and procurement; and management consulting. Sir (Dr) Leesi also attended the course on knowledge management: strategies and tactics for business results at the American Productivity and Quality Center, Houston in 2001.
SOCIAL SERVICE AND GOVERNANCE
Sir (Dr) Leesi Gborogbosi is Founder and Chairman of Gborogbosi Foundation, and. also Kilsi United Football Club. He has an intense interest in good governance and a better society. Using the support of an NGO, “Rivers of Our Dreams Initiative (ROODI), he is promoting a secure and prosperous society, good governance, economic development, peace, social integration, and strategic leadership in governance driven by men and women of integrity and competence.
His focus is on youths, women, and technocrats. During the period of 2006-2007, Sir (Dr) Leesi gave strong support and mentoring to councillorship and chairmanship candidates on the platform of the National Democratic Party (NDP) in Gokana LGA during the then Rivers State Local Government Council elections, Nigeria. Also, during the 2015 election, Sir (Dr) Leesi sponsored and led a peaceful/non-violent voting campaign in Rivers State. He contested in the 2019 election as the Governorship candidate of APP in Rivers State.
FAMILY
Sir (Dr) Leesi Gborogbosi is the son of Very Rev Gabriel A. Gborogbosi (translated), a Presbyter of the Methodist Church of Nigeria, Rivers State, Nigeria. Sir (Dr) Leesi is married and has the pleasant challenge of mentoring the five kids to grow in the knowledge of God and love for society. He is from Barako Town in Gokana Local Government Area of Rivers State in Nigeria. Sir (Dr) Leesi was born on 19 March, 1963.

As the Governor of Rivers State by the grace of God Almighty, I will adopt priority areas to drive governance and development in the state.
